Calling out loud to the issue of “Load Shedding”

One of the most devastating issue that has grown and has crossed all the boundaries, besides corruption, is the ongoing load shedding issue. Every part of the country is currently blessed (sarcastic) with this gift inherited from our ancestors. The irony is, and most of us will agree to this, that our responsible authorities are least bothered in solving this problem. Through this forum we expect to provide an opportunity to the affected people to express out loud and clear against these injustices and to educate others regarding possible scams that we might get in.
Most of us might still be not aware that one of the billing criteria of our electric supply companies is that they charge on the basis of an accumulated bill. Meaning, thereby, that if one exchange is covering 300 houses but only 275 of them are paying the bill, the total bill is divided by 275 and not 300 thus burdening the paying customers with additional cost of 25 houses. Consequently, the 275 bill paying houses also pay for the 25 houses who are stealing electricity. This means that one way or the other, we are helping those who are stealing. And the agonizing part is that we are paying for them.
Please go ahead and take out your “Bharas” (grudge). Please feel free to write to us about the ways and means through which we, as individuals or as a nation, can cope with this dilemma.

It doesn’t seem long before all houses in Pakistan will use solar energy out of frustration and eventually become the largest solar energy using country in the world, and making a fortune out of it by selling electricity to neighbors =>.
Some days back as per my regular routine I came back to home after a long tiring day. After having dinner I went in my room and started operating my system at 12.00 am with considering that now no such disruption or disturbance will come on way. I was browsing here and there and checking some mails, all of a sudden I got a gift by the blessings of the K.E.C.S.C. yes you got the right thing. I really found myself in complete darkness and it was nothing but load shedding. I simply cursed them and went to my bed. After sometime I realized that the sleeping is far away. I just stood up from my bed and went to the gallery, it was really a great sight the entire Khalid bin Waleed Street was enlighten with numerous fancy and street lights. This entire situation really compelled me to remind the old sayings of our grannies when they used to study under street lights. It really made me little frenzy that how they could do that, how they could study in such noisy environment and how they could concentrate on it. After seeing this entire situation I realized it, I think history is repeating itself.
When I tried to dig the reason of such enormous lighting, then my inner self replied… Oh there is a religious month coming on its way. A month in which our beloved prophet (P.B.U.H) came to this world. He was the person who never tried to discomfort others by his actions. And today we are celebrating his birthday by enlighten several fancy lights after pushing the people in the well of darkness. Situations are getting worse and worse, every New Year starts with additional hours of load shedding. Every year when government passes the new budget we always bear several increment in taxes and prices of basic commodities and in return we get rewarded with increment in crime rates and extra hours of load shedding.
Is that how we are showing love to our prophet? I think instead of enlighten the fancy lights on street we should enlighten our hearts with passion of public care. Because I believe “show your respect for others by your works not by your words”, and lit up the lights is not work because nobody is ready to work under street light due to improving rate of street crimes.
