E-learning scenario in Pakistan
There are very few educational institutions in Pakistan that are involved in e-learning. There although exists a high potential for its growth. The use of technology might not only drive down education’s rising costs but also spread education to the distant students living far away from the major cities of Pakistan.
Universities, as they mostly happen to be in the big cities, by deploying e-learning technologies can reach to smaller cities while bearing low costs.
There is only one institution which is completely an online university delivering education through its online learning management system. To date Virtual University has 33000 students enrolled in its campuses as well as getting home-based education.
Other than this some institutions have started to offer a few online courses and diplomas. SZABIST is one such university yet it has comparatively low students strength.
In addition to this universities in Pakistan are realizing that an e-learning platform is becoming inevitable. High profile universities like LUMS are operating online systems to facilitate learning. Yet these are not solely e-learning platforms. Many public sector universities are posting tenders for campus management system that will provide e-learning to students.

I agree, one thing I noticed is the fact that LUMS (not related to the other topic IBA VS LUMS), LUMS was a part of the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2007, Education for All, and they did make an online virtual class, accessible from any corner of the world.
Initiatives are there, and i guess we can make a difference in the future. Plus i have heard Anglophile is also working on the E-Learning bit for their english language courses.
