Yes,it is certainly heartening to view the relentless efforts which .President Obama is taken upon himself by embarking upon a great mission to trot around the Muslim states in particular and the African country’s to remedy the pending issues and disputes and evolve solutions for economic development and uplift programs within those regions and as well improve relations between them and the USA.

I sincerely remain hopeful that since he is attending one of the oldest dispute pending in the that region the other tough and long overdue settlement of the struggle of the Muslims of Indian held Jammu Kashmir dispute will not escape his agenda too.

It must be kept in mind that The Kashmir dispute is the oldest unresolved international conflict in the world today. Pakistan considers Kashmir as its core political dispute with India. So does the international community, except India.

In 1947, India and Pakistan went to war over Kashmir. During the war, it was India which first took the Kashmir dispute to the United Nations on 1 January 1948. The following year, on 1 January 1949, the UN helped enforce ceasefire between the two countries. The ceasefire line is called the Line of Control. It was an outcome of a mutual consent by India and Pakistan that the UN Security Council (UNSC) and UN Commission for India and Pakistan (UNCIP) passed several resolutions in years following the 1947-48 war. The UNSC Resolution of 21 April 1948–one of the principal UN resolutions on Kashmir—stated that “both India and Pakistan desire that the question of the accession of Jammu and Kashmir to India or Pakistan should be decided through the democratic method of a free and impartial plebiscite”. Subsequent UNSC Resolutions reiterated the same stand. UNCIP Resolutions of 3 August 1948 and 5 January 1949 reinforced UNSC resolutions.

KASHMIR ISSUE IN A NUTSHELL

The current agitation in Indian-Held Kashmir is rooted in the struggle of the people for the exercise of the right of self-determination. Peaceful processions chanting demands for freedom were fired upon by Indian Army and police. Thousands of men, women and children have been killed or wounded.

1. New Delhi’s allegation of assistance to the Kashmiri people from the Pakistan side is unfounded. Objective reports in foreign media testify that the Kashmiri agitation is indigenous.

2. Pakistan upholds the right of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to self-determination in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. These resolutions of 1948 and 1949 provide for the holding of a free and impartial plebiscite for the determination of the future of the state by the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

3. The basic points about the UN resolution are that:

• The complaint relating to Kashmir was initiated by India in the Security Council;
•  The Council explicitly and by implications, rejected India’s claim that Kashmir is legally Indian territory;
•  The resolutions established self-determination as the governing principal for the settlement of the Kashmir dispute. This is the world body’s commitment to the people of Kashmir;
•  The resolutions endorsed a binding agreement between India and Pakistan reached through the mediation of UNCIP, that a plebiscite would be held, under agreed and specified conditions.

1. The Security Council has rejected the Indian contention that the people of Kashmir have exercised their right of self-determination by participating in the “election” which India has from time to time organized in the Held Kashmir. The 0.2% turn out during the 1989 “elections” was the most recent clear repudiation of the Indian claim.2. Pakistan continues to adhere to the UN resolutions. These are binding also on India.3. The Simla Agreement of 2 July 1972, to which Pakistan also continues to adhere, did not alter the status of Jammu and Kashmir as a disputed territory:

• Para 6 of the Agreement lists “a final settlement of Jammu and Kashmir” as one of the outstanding questions awaiting a settlement.
• Para 4 (ii) talks of a “Line of Control” as distinguished from an international border. Furthermore, it explicitly protects “the recognized position of either side.” The recognized position of Pakistan is the one, which is recognized by the United Nations and the World Community in general.
•  Article 1(iv) obviously refers to the Kashmir issue when it talks of “the basic issues and causes of conflict which have bedeviled the relations between the two countries for the last 25 years”

Politicians of India and Pakistan need to sit down with commitment and a perfect time period assigned to resolve this issue. All ,sane politicians of the countries involved in this dispute should act wisely!! We have paid extremely heavy price of our mishandling of this core issue. We lost our great amount of wealth in building armies and ammunition stockpiles. We fought wars and but this time it is different scenario for the reason that both the Country’s are now Nuclear states with stock pile of nuclear arsenal.In view of the same war isn’t and cannot be a wise way to sort the matter out only dialogue is the best and the wisest method of resolving it.

While concluding I must add that resolution of the Kashmir dispute is without any doubt a key to a durable peace in South Asia,at least to the extent of these two neighboring country’s,India and Pakistan. It is also a fact that Pakistan remains committed to finding a just settlement of the dispute in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the people of Indian occupied Kashmir. It should be resolved through sincere dialogue in order to open up vast opportunities for socio-economic development of the region.

It is the people of this region who should come out and pressurize their respective Government to resolve this bleeding issue once and for all. It is our responsibility otherwise our generations would be thrown in trauma and distress for another long and endless period

Moral of the tale: Kashmiris should be allowed to choose their own destiny. Enough blood has been spilled already. India is the belligerent one here to the point of embarrassment. But all belligerent nations have had to eat the humble pie at some point.

It appears they have surpassed US and the west in this department !!Even their Speaker of the National assembly (lower house) is a women,Mrs.Fehmida Mirza.

Strange then why does the west criticize them ? It is sheer hypocrisy and propaganda by the west against the east.

The fact is that women in South Asia and South East Asia have more equal rights to their opposite gender then the western females!Specially judging from the names like,Indira Gandhi (India),Bandranaike (Sri Lanka),Hasina Wajid(Bangladesh) and Benazir Bhutto (Pakistan).

Some are of the view and consider that the above ladies got where they did because of being the close relatives of famous male political personality’s like ; Benazir being the daughter of a man who had charisma you either loved or hated, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, there was no mid way with him and Benazir had been groomed by him and had the same kind of following. Indira Gandhi’s father, Nehru, another charismatic person, India has yet to outgrow the Nehru family. Hasina Wajid daughter of another charismatic leader, Mujib-ur- Rehman. Bandranaike took over after her husband died.

So even if all these ladies had very successful men behind them, but fact of course was the voters gave them their votes, despite the fact that they were women. I don’t think that men in South Asia are prejudiced against women, how can they be when in their early years they are ruled by their mothers and in the later years by their wives.

Being sibling of illustrious personality’s is no crime or matter of shame.If winning due to that without them having their own personal ability’s was the only factor,then Miss.Fatima Jinnah wouldn’t have lost the general elections against Field Marshal.Mohd Ayub Khan,in early 60’s. After all she was the sister of the founder of Pakistan Jinnah.George Bush Jr was the son of a formers US president.Hillary Clinton lost the elections in spite of being the former 1st lady as wife of President.Bill Clinton ?.

Possibly,USA may need someone so charismatic and strong to be in that post. The era from which USA is seeing itself passing can be handled by a wise and committed leader. Woman Leader can be carrying that attributes as we see.I think USA’s citizens have not yet found any such leader yet otherwise they may had chosen someone for this seat long ago!! I don’t know if there is any legal or legislative binding exists, but the only reason I see is the absence of any such Woman leader in the history of USA. But ,it would amount to being naive to say that out of 50+ states of one of the most powerful,advanced and literate nation like the US, not one or two woman matching above stated characteristic for a leader has yet taken birth ! Secondly there isn’t any legal or legislative binding or restraining females to stand for the Presidential election.

I feel,this show that sexism exists more there then the South Asian and South East nation country’s as propagandized by them and the west.It is a fact that nations less in all respect to the US have been within decades of some of their nations inception produced such female head of states,namely.(late) Mrs.Indira Gandhi,(late) Ms.Benazir Bhutto,Mrs.Hasina shaikh Wajid,Mrs,Bandranaike.

The question is if these small nations were able to find such talented charismatic female leaders in decades not forgetting western country like UK , with reference to Mrs.Margaret thatcher former Prime Minister of England and the Chancellor of Germany etc .How come US since its inception in century’s have been unsuccessful ? The truth is that there isn’t any dearth of brilliant females to be worthy candidates to their opposite genders in America.The problem as I see it is that the average American males are possibly chauvinists in mentality.They have that phony macho-ism attitude towards the females in that country.They don’t want their women folks beyond a certain level of public office. Probably,If they had their way completely they would restrict the women folks to the extent of their bed and not any further.

What a shame ! I hope that the emancipated, enlightened,educated,intelligent and brilliant but naive and simple females of the American population would now realize that they are not as free as they believe themselves to be.!!!

A simple veto to a resolution passed by the general assembly can be rejected.Implying it is not being run on democratic norms.It is practically hostage to 7 nations.So why have it in the first place ?.

The way I see it is that the UN should be based on truly democratic structure similar to the Parliamentary form of governance. All member states should have the right to forward their point of view on a matter which comes forward to it for deliberation and their vote should be in equal value of all nations irrespective of its power status..It should be put to secret ballot and on the basis of simple majority the resolution should be passed and sent to the the upper house for further vetting(detailed below) then implemented in the same spirit within shortest possible time frame.

Secondly, it is necessary for check and balance a different version of upper house be formulated.It should not be in the characteristic of the security council rather on the pattern of the Senates which exist as upper houses in both the Parliamentary and Presidential forms of governance.The members should be elected from all continents country’s on proportionate basis .Like for instance,Asia,Africa,America ,Australia, etc.

The two Houses should have their speakers or chairman’s as functional heads.The Secretary General should be the titular head for administrative ,Public relations etc duties.

The above is a loosely drafted suggestion.If put to a think tank for formulation purposes, it could be turned into a reality and thus provide the world with a truly democratic and independent world body to provide justice and fair play to all and for maintenance of global peace.

Today i just want to let u know where we are whats going on in our country..
have ever u noticed the peoples who got benefits from NRO are approx 8641. and if these people mutually finance to our country we don need any kerry bill.. these peoples are eationg our country who is bearing at the end we the midle class.as upper class have strong hands they will move out to this countyr n poor peoples can beg as they are..  the middle class is bearing all expenses taxex..

If we talk about law n order it is also for us not for high class ministers beurocrtaes, technocrates etc…
why this nation is standing and coming out see where the utility bills have raised up oh my god, right now there is continous load shedding and still increase of 12% and in april 6%more in electricity bilss,
same like for gas 18% increase in bill..wat the ubish is going on who is to see and check..

why for this we pole a vote to this party,..

fine i admit dictatorship is thoushnd times worse then jahumriat.. but if this type of jahmuriat is sorry to say i would love to go back in musharraf decade.. not because i like him but because of his policies .. why the reason is a coomon man is least concerned whoever is on top seat he needs basic commodities gas electricity,wheat, sugar..

Time and again we see that the world champions of the worldcup 1992 and the world champions of the Twenty Twenty worldcup 2009 fail to perform according to their potential. We see them doing good in a match or two and then there is a long chain of losses before there in another unexpected win. At an average, Pakistan team loses 4 out of every 6-7 ODI matches they play. The condition is worse in the Test arena where is almost fail every time.

The reason for their failure has always been termed as “inconsistency”, however, I believe that it is just not the inconsistency that is the root cause of the shocking performance our team has given over the years. The players, ex-players, management, Media, analysts and even the sport ministers believe that there are other areas that need to be fixed in order to increase the standard of our team.

Currently, the 11 players that are playing in our team, or any 11 players who have played a match, are performing according to their own talent. They are playing the game just the way they have been playing from their childhood. There is no proper training or coaching and by the look of it, there is no one in the management side who can even counsel them to make corrections in their techniques. From errors and blunders in the domestic arena to the lack of guidance in the international level, we find every individual building, progressing and then failing on their own. It seems that there is no one to look after them. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is too busy solving controversies and their personal issues that they don’t have time to work on the players.

There would be people who would oppose me but I believe that every player in this game goes through a bad patch and the cricket board of that particular player should take special care of him. A player who has previously performed in the international arena or has been a match winning player can always turn the game on in the future as well. All he needs in confidence and match practice. BUT YOU CANT GIVE HIM PRACTICE IN THE INTERNATIONAL LEVEL.

The board should realize that the domestic level is the best area from where a player can get match practice and can increase their confidence as they are playing against relatively weaker opponents. This way they always get an edge and there is a change that the player will get back his confidence. However, our board is ready to give “match practice” to many players like Misbah ul Haq and Shoaib Malik at the international level.

It will take a lot of time for them to get back into their groove at the international level because they will be against good opponents and certainly 9 out of 10 times they will fail to perform. That will de-motivate them and Pakistan team will also be paying a heavy price at the same time. The board should ask the senior players to get back their performance by playing in the domestic seasons rather than becoming a burden to the international team by not performing.

Then there are issues like the coaches that PCB has hired. We currently have two bowling coaches (Waqar Younis and Aqib Javed) and we don’t even have a single batting coach. We have players like Javad Miandad and Saeed Anwer who can provide quality coaching to our batsmen but I am not sure why are we not taking their services. Corruption and Politics has been the other two words that are always linked with the PCB and with the output that we are getting nowadays from our cricket team, it seems that we have incompetent people sitting on the position where competence is required. However, the irony is, especially in the food business, that we find the prices of goods to be different in both the countries. For example, it is hard to find anything below Rs.250 in a KFC outlet in Pakistan. While, you can get a good decent deal in less than Rs.100 in India. I do understand the sales tax issues, the import and export duties, the rules and regulations, the currency exchange and all other elements that might be involved. But how come India has managed to keep a check on the prices whereas our Government has neglected this issue from the core?

If we move ahead with this point, we also find few other issues that are hard to understand and issues that forces us to think is a sceptical way towards our government. For example, we have a shortage of flour in our country yet we find so many biscuit making multinational companies. The price per KG is going high yet the government is not forcing these multinational companies to import flour from their own countries so that our flour rates do not increase. I don’t know how much kgs or tonnes of flour would be used in making biscuits, buns, pizza dough etc. Why can’t the government stop them so as to solve the current issue of the shortage of the flour?

Then there is ‘water crises’ in our country. The country is bound to be in great trouble in the next 10-15 years because of the shortage of water. However, we find so many Water Tankers working in the years nearby. From where are they getting the water and if they can get water then why isn’t that same water going to the people? Then we see the numerous brands selling mineral water bottles in the market. They are not importing that water then where are they getting that much water from? If they are using any natural reserviour then why can’t the government use the same reserviour? If they are using the same tap water then why is the government giving that water to them rather than distributing the same water to the local people?

Our system is hopeless and our government has big loopholes to fill. The government should do something about the basic issues.

5. They are unable to distinguish between secular and biblical leadership values

If I pack the whole matter in a box, I came to know that there are managers who are good enough in managing their work but the problem with them is just to lead the team. They can do anything very well without any support of human capital and human resource but after all there comes a time when you need to lead the team. There they fail. Most important think about the good leadership is that a good manager must know the human psychology and he must know the ways to lead them after motivating them.

I want to discuss some problems that good managers have and that makes them to go for bad decision and poor leadership.

What are the main causes that leaders make terrible decisions?

The very first reason is that Leaders have a tendency to rely on past practices that seems constructive, but is actually sometimes risky. One of the most well known examples is Dick Fuld at Lehman. He saved Lehman in the aftermath of the LTCM crisis in the late ’90s. Fast forward 10 years or so and he also, I believe, thought he would do it again. But the experience he was relying on was not the same as this massive housing-driven collapse. It’s much more complex, much more complicated. We always talk about how important experience is. I think we overstate experience, because it doesn’t exactly fit the situation you’re in. You’re liable to rely on it in a way that’s just not going to be that helpful.

The second reason is self interest that could be very dangerous. There are many examples when there is a good manager, he or she work for the self interest and that is the easiest job for them to deceive the organization and employees. Because people trust they and these kinds of managers cash their interest for their self interest. Most people don’t realize self-interest operates at a subconscious level. They are not even aware of how self-interested they are.

The third reason is what we call prejudgments. Leaders make prejudgments about their businesses that sometimes turn out to be wrong. Why does a smart experienced leader make a mistake like that? I think it’s this vulnerability to prejudgment — deciding something is the way it is early on and sticking to it no matter what. It is not always successful that what you think is right. People sometimes call it predictions. But predictions are again not right all the time. If your prediction is wrong, it could cause the heavy loss for the organization.

The fourth reason is over confident. If the good manager is over confidant, the probability of bad leadership is more. Because they do the things without estimating them. There comes again the part of past experiences but the thing is that life gives the new challenges everyday and you need to do something about the problem other than your past practices.

In the last 40 years, at least, I have seen the favors (sarcastic) done by our army to save Pakistan. I hope the readers would be mature enough to understand that I am not talking about the role of our army as far as defense (border related) is concerned. I, myself, is very much obsessed and convinced towards the abilities and skills of our army. However, my indication is towards the contribution of the army in the political and social structure.

We have always used more than 50% of our budget for our defense. Major areas of Pakistan are still deprived of basic necessities and even the economic hub (Karachi) is still observing electricity load shedding of more than 5 hours daily. Yet we prefer buying weapons to compete with India over providing basic necessities to the people of Pakistan. Defense has become more important to our government/s compared to the basic necessities and commodities that are required to live a decent life.

So if “defense” is that important, and many readers would probably still vote for buying more weapons than providing education to poor, then why is it that we are still deprived of a “component”, which actually comes from the parent word “defense”? Yes, I am talking about ‘Security’. According to the Maslow’s Theory, security is the second stage of human needs, whereas, food, water and clothes are the basic requirements.

Nevertheless, even if we have jumped one step ahead in the hierarchy and have opted to work on the second stage more than the first stage, then the question is that have we actually accomplished the second stage of Maslow’s Theory (Safety) successfully? Are we secure? Is our life secure? Is our house secure? Is our money secure? Is our future generation secure?

As mentioned earlier, with more than 50% of the budget going towards the “defense” section, we find that our army is too busy building the Defense Housing Authority (DHA), Golf clubs, cantonments etc etc etc. They are too busy making more money. Are they the right people to protect us? If yes, then why do we hear about CIA, Blackwater, Xe, DynCorp and others working in Pakistan? Why do we hear that the drone attacks are not coming from anywhere else but they are actually operated from an airbase in Baluchistan?

Even if everything that I have stated in wrong, why is it that our army has FAILED to provide us with SECURITY even after taking that much money? Every government is now bound to take loans from IMF and WB just to match our defense requirements but at the end of the day we are still under the threat of Talibans. We, common people, are still not secure. Then what is our army doing? Should we think that our army has failed to protect us? At least me, being a patriot and a big fan of the army, will never accept this that they have failed. Then should we think that they are Pro-Talibans, which is why our army is not interested in protecting us?

I do understand that our army is waging a war in Waziristan but the fact of the matter is that our army allowed the Talibans to come this far. If they would have been either vigilant or anti-Taliban, then they would have stopped them from spreading all over Pakistan.

Every single person in this country has a huge amount of loan that he has to pay either to the IMF or to the WB because our leaders have taken that loan on the name of the nation/country. Do you think that our current leaders will be able to pay this amount back? What if we die with all that loan on our head? Who will pay it back?

If we say that our government was under pressure from the army to take loans so as to meet the requirements of the defense then my question to all of you is that has our army succeeded in providing us SECURITY? Is this the best our army can do? Is this the best our intelligence agencies can do? Why are we still wasting so much portion of our budget on them if they can’t provide us security? We are in this mess directly or indirectly because of our army and their loyalty/friendship towards the Talibans, or else, these Talibans would have never had the courage to pass our army and occupy the regions of Pakistan.

Long Live Pakistan. Pakistan Zindabaad.

The most basic n rising question is unemployment..

Have u guys ever thought thousands of graduates and masters student are roaming in streets as there is no job in market, and if any vacancy is announced the reference comes..

Just think for a while what n where my Pakistan is going. students are getting degrees but no jobs the thing i want to say is this unemployment situation will lead towards robbery, theft and lot of negative issues.. so please wake up guys, do u know what are we, we having lot of natural resources we can be like US n UK a independent country.. just come on get together n come on roads let the Governing people know that their policies are not fruitful, the IMF loan do u know who will pay?… we dear we in terms of expensive electricity bills gas bills but unfortunately the peoples of this nation are either dead or sleeping. i dont know why….i am thankful to media but media should come with some reasonable issues… whoever is a president we are not concerned the peoples want ATTA, Bijle, GAS n etc.. if the basic things r not available do hell with these parties…

i hope a slight change n gathering a young generation is a first step through apna system site….. n its a deep request kindly forget this bradri system n pole a vote to a right person just because of this bradri system we r remaining back from our enemies india..

its a harsh n bitter truth that in the race of many things our enemy country is far ahead why have u ever thought,

A little flashback of 2009, as a country we have witnessed some joys and some pains. Everyone in their respective fields have achieved something for the country and some have actually lost something as well.

What we gained:

Ali Moin Nawazis, scored 22-A’s and 1B and 1C in his A levels-WOW, a year for him to remember.

Pakistan Won T20 World Cup in a time when the whole nation needed something to cheer about.

What we lost:

Lahore bomb, Peshawar bomb, Karachi bomb,  EarthQuake, atta, cheeni etc. NRO, Wakeel, etc. Imanae Malik, Black Water,  Recession, etc.

The above mentioned events help us realise what we have gained and what we have lost over the 1 year and will be written in history books of Pakistan forever.
